We are extremely intentional about who we engage to support our students.

Our tutors will be mentors and role models for your child.  They have been in their shoes; they understand the demands and what it takes to achieve academic and life goals.

As well as being high achieving (ATAR of 90 or above), they are emotionally intelligent, engaging, empathetic, approachable and patient.

They are passionate about teaching and skilled communicators. All staff hold current Working with Children Checks.

  • Ines Kelly

    Tutor

I am currently in Year 12 at Firbank.  Throughout school I thoroughly enjoyed all areas of study, particularly excelling in the humanities, sciences and languages. Having completely loved studying Biology and Chemistry in school, I plan on studying a science degree at Melbourne University in 2027.

I am able to tutor French (I obtained a raw score of 41) and Chemistry.

Additionally, one of my absolute favourite pastimes is reading - no matter the genre - I'll read just about anything!

  • Lachlan Houghton

    Tutor

My name is Lachlan Houghton, I graduated from Melbourne Grammar School in 2023 with an ATAR of 99.90, obtaining 50 in English, 41 in French, 38 in Latin, 43 in Methods, 37 in Specialist Mathematics, and 44 in Physics (all raw scores). As such, I am able to tutor English, French, Latin, and Maths. I was glad to receive a Chancellor’s Scholarship to study at the University of Melbourne and am now in my final semester of a Bachelor of Arts, after which I plan on doing an Honours year in English. Putting academics aside, my great passion is film, and much of my time is spent either at the cinema or fanatically navigating cinema history one film at a time. I was fortunate enough to do a semester abroad at the University of Michigan, and I hope - after completing my Honours year - to return to the USA to study film.

Program Manager

Throughout the evening, the Program Manager, a warm adult presence moves through the room, liaises with tutors, and ensures every student is known and cared for.  They are another set of eyes, another person in the room who is paying attention.  They have a steady and reassuring energy.  They facilitate easy, light conversation.

They greet every student by name when they arrive and stay until the last student leaves the premises.

We take the tutoring, you keep the relationship.
